After a hearty breakfast, you’ll join your guide and driver for a scenic drive along the Pan-American Highway towards the Colchagua Valley. The valley’s viticulture history dates back to the late 19th century when influential families introduced fine French grape varieties, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere, Merlot, and Malbec, replacing the traditional Spanish ones. Since then, this wine region has thrived, elevating both in quality and production, thanks to Chile’s resurgence as a leading wine producer during the 1970s and 80s.

Today’s wine exploration begins at the boutique Neyen Winery, boasting century-old vines that yield exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon and Carménère. Continue to one of the Apalta sub-region’s renowned vineyards and where you’ll visit Montes Winery, a pivotal force in elevating Chilean wines to international acclaim.
